Mizani Butter Blend Relaxer Fine/Color Treated 30 Oz

Prepare the hair — Do not shampoo before relaxing. Check the condition of the hair and scalp, select the appropriate relaxer strength, and avoid vigorous brushing, combing, or tugging.

Perform a strand test — Wearing protective gloves, perform a strand test on a small section of hair following the relaxer application directions. Proceed only if the hair and scalp are in good condition.

Apply the relaxer — Apply protective base to the skin around the hairline and ears, avoiding the hair. Set the timer according to the recommended timing chart, then apply a generous amount of relaxer to the most resistant areas, working through thin sections and applying to the hairline last. Do not apply the relaxer directly to the scalp.

Smooth and process — Gently smooth the hair at the scalp area with gloved fingers or the back of a rattail comb until the desired straightness is achieved. Never exceed the recommended processing time.

Rinse thoroughly — Rinse the relaxer completely from the hair with warm water.

Choose a conditioning option — For Option A, apply and distribute MIZANI PerpHecting Crème Normalizing Conditioner, cover with a plastic cap, and leave for 10 minutes without heat. Rinse thoroughly, then apply 1–1½ oz. MIZANI Balance Hair Bath, lather, rinse with warm water, and repeat.

Neutralize and condition — For Option B, apply 1–1½ oz. MIZANI Balance Hair Bath Neutralizing and Chelating Shampoo, lather, rinse with warm water, and repeat. Apply and distribute MIZANI PerpHecting Crème Normalizing Conditioner, cover with a plastic cap, then rinse, towel dry, and proceed with normal styling.

Keep out of reach of children: Keep the product out of the reach of children.

Avoid skin contact: Contains alkali. Keep the relaxer off the scalp and other skin areas, as contact may cause serious skin irritation or burns.

If irritation occurs: Rinse thoroughly and use MIZANI Balance Hair Bath® Neutralizing & Chelating Shampoo immediately. If irritation persists, consult a doctor.

Avoid eye contact: Avoid contact with the eyes, as it can cause blindness. If contact occurs, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water and consult a physician.

If ingested: Contact a poison control center immediately. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by a doctor.

Follow with neutralizing shampoo: Always follow the relaxer application with MIZANI Balance Hair Bath® Neutralizing & Chelating Shampoo.
